WaterCoG partners visit Sweden, October 2017
WaterCoG partners met up in Varberg, Sweden on Wednesday 18th October to Friday 20th October, to exchange project knowledge and discuss progress to date.
On Wednesday 18th, the project partners discussed their pilot project ideas and how best to evaluate the pilots and their successes in a co-ordinated way. This included a presentation about delivering a baseline study and survey.
On Thursday 19th, the partners were joined by the Swedish pilots where they heard from four different pilots about their ambitions and the challenges that they are currently facing. Later in the afternoon, the group was treated to an excursion in the pilot areas of Himleån and Högdavsån.

On Friday 20th, the group listened to a presentation about Ecosystem Services and discussed and agreed on future evaluation procedures for the project.
Barry Bendall, Director of Water and Land for The Rivers Trust, said:
"At the end of the three days, the group were really inspired to make more progress on setting up their pilot projects and had overcome a number of barriers that they had been facing in their countries independently."
