Holistic plan for Ryå catchment area - Field trip

07 December 2018 - Published by Alistair Maltby
The overall plan for Ryå is working to develop a comprehensive solution to the many opportunities and challenges, including flooding problems that exist in Ryå catchment area.

The aim of the project is to ensure a more optimal resource allocation and create a synergy effect between the various interests. This is done by working actively with an uphill thinking and increased local involvement. The idea is that a comprehensive or holistic plan must ensure that climate adaptation, dewatering, nature and environment, and not least local development and interests, are safeguarded and coordinated as best as possible.

At the end of October, the Aalborg Municipality / Limfjord Secretariat organized a field trip together at challenges. The purpose was to look at the various challenges in reality and create the opportunity to talk about it on the spot.

Along the way, the newly printed leaflet about the project was handed to the participants. Later in the day, a meeting was held where the issues that arose during the excursion were discussed, as well as the next steps in the pilot project.
