SEGES and the Catchment Officers (Oplandskonsulenterne) had a stand at the Plantekongres 2020 (Crop Congress) which is a congress with focus on crop production, environment, nature and many other topics. Nearly 2,000 participants (mostly farmers but also local and national authorities, consultants, politicians etc.) attended the congress this year. You can see the sessions from the congress here, but only few of them are in English.

WaterCoG project partners from SEGES had made a landscape model of a farmed area with a constructed wetland and with real water running through the constructed wetland from the inlet to the outlet in a pumped circulated system. The purpose of having the landscape model at the stand was to show and tell farmers, local authorities and other stakeholders about environmental measures such as constructed wetland in farmed areas. The landscape model was a great success as it generated much attention and inspired to a lot of talk between Catchment Officers and the many people visiting the stand. The landscape model has already been booked by local farmer unions so it can be used at meetings and a livestock show.
