Cam & Ely Ouse (CamEO) Catchment Partnership (UK)

The CamEO partnership is piloting collaborative approaches to the management of the water environment in the Cam and Ely Ouse catchment.

Pilot location: East Anglia, UK

Lead beneficiary: The Rivers Trust

More about this pilot:

This pilot will seek to demonstrate how a co-governance approach can improve the quality and resilience of the water environment and, in doing so, protect and enhance the benefits it provides to communities and businesses.

The pilot will enable and facilitate effective participation of stakeholders in the management of the catchment, in a more sustainable and integrated way.

The partnership is co-hosted by The Rivers Trust and Anglian Water and consists of many partners representing community interest groups, farmers, governmental bodies, environmental NGO’s and many more besides.

The partnership includes several local ‘sub-catchment’ partnerships to provide a strong community link and a water stewardship business board to increase and align the interests of food and farming dependent businesses in the work of the partnership.
