Hydrogen Refuelling Infrastructure Tender Now Live on Public Contracts Scotland
Today (23rd March 2023), as part of the HyTrEc2 Project considering remote hydrogen refuelling for various fleets, Aberdeen City Council has published an invitation to tender (ITT) on Public Contracts Scotland seeking a suitably qualified consultant to assess hydrogen infrastructure requirements for large scale distribution and refuelling that can be replicated across the North Sea Region.
The study will cover:
- Standardised Hydrogen Refuelling Footprint – conceptual design of an ideal hydrogen refuelling footprint, identifying equipment and high-level costs that can be replicated across the North East of Scotland and North Sea Region, providing a seamless and similar service for any user of a hydrogen refuelling station.
- Tri-modal Refuelling Infrastructure – identification of refuelling facilities required to support tri-modal refuelling to refuel HGVs, rail and maritime.
- Preliminary Design of a refuelling facility using the Port of Peterhead (or within its vicinity) as a Case Study.
The full tender can be viewed at: https://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/search/show/search_view.aspx?ID=MAR474409
Tenderers can register their interest and have until 20th April to submit their responses.
The Study has been part-funded by Interreg North Sea Region HyTrEc2 and Aberdeen City Region Deal and has been developed in partnership with HyTrEc2 Partner Aberdeenshire Council and the North East Scotland Regional Transport Authority, NESTRANS.
