Hanze UAS has been ranked in the top 25 educational institutions in the world for its applied research. It seeks to encourage the development of sustainable, innovative, knowledge-intensive companies in the region in order to contribute to a robust regional economy. The research results are made available to SMEs in the North of Netherlands. A professorship has focus on New Business and ICT specialised in applied research. Another area is digitisation of core manufacturing processes in SMEs.
Benefit for the organisation from participating in the project
Participating in the GrowIn 4.0 project gives the possibility to acquire and share expertise with the regions that are similar to the North of the Netherlands. On the other hand, the Netherlands is an exporting country and in this project we can assist manufacturing SMEs with the internationalisation dimension of Industry 4.0 issues. The knowledge and the partnerships gained through the project will enable Hanze UAS to improve its knowledge exchange support and develop training offers to SMEs.
Main role
Hanze UAS is the leader of WP5 Training, Education and Recruitment of Industry 4.0 qualified staff. We will contribute to WP3 and WP4 in applying, developing and disseminating knowledge of IT and especially of the alignment of (IT) Technology and Business development.
