Port of Vordingborg grand opening, 22/06/2019
On the 22nd of June 2019 the DUAL Ports´ partner Vordingborg Havn will officially celebrate (at the presence of the mayor, Mikael Smed) the opening of a new port area and bulk terminal. The dock will be inaugurated by the Commander of the Naval Home Guard, Henrik Holck Rasmussen. For more info click here. Green Port Officer Transfer Venue III – Working visit at Niedersachsen Ports, 27-28/05/2019
Within the DUAL Ports project Niedersachsen Ports is working on the Green Port Officer Pilot. In this pilot NPorts is working out and testing different strategies and measures to reduce the carbon footprint of our ports and foster a sustainable development. The target of this two-day event is to share experiences gained within the last three years with partner ports and to discus s how things can be improved and transferred. You can see the agenda here.
H2 workshop, 21/02/2019

The workshop will try to analyse the technical, management and business-related challenges of introducing Hydrogen (created by renewables) in ports, shipping and maritime applications. It will also showcase how some EU projects and partners have already been working together to develop H2 initiatives in some North Sea ports. You can see the agenda here.
LNG workshop, 06/09/2018
Color Hotel, Skagen, Denmark
The workshop in Skagen will focus on bringing suppliers, operators and customers from the LNG sector together for a one-day event. The content of the workshop will focus on the following topics in relation to the Port of Skagen:
- Building LNG Value Chains
- Operations of Small LNG Chains
- How to meet regulations and laws when working with LNG
Each topic will be presented by a keynote speaker, who will apply the latest industry insight to the context of the Port of Skagen to frame the work on the three topics during the workshop.
The workshop will include lunch at color hotel, a guided tour of the port and a visit to Grenen (the tip of Denmark) with network opportunities over dinner in the evening.

Workshop on Sustainability Management, 23/08/2018

In this whole-day-workshop Dr. Matthäus Wuczkowski will give an insight into all the activities carried out in the two pilots of Niedersachsen Ports, i.e. the Green Port Officer and the LED pilot, and supply you with relevant best-practice examples as well as documents. The input will be followed by a discussion on what could be transferred to other ports.

DUAL Ports will be presented at this years European Environmental Ports Conference. Mr. Wim Stubbe, Business Development Manager at the Port of Oostende and Lead Partner in DUAL Ports, will be speaking at the conference held in Antwerp, Belgium, in May 2018.
The European Environmental Ports Conference is for Ports, Port Authorities, Shipping Companies, Policy makers, NGO’s and others with an interest in challenges, solutions and developments in reducing emissions, pollution and energy consumption within the maritime sector.
Due to an increased focus on regulations, this is the time to share best practices and experiences in order to improve the operations with minimal environmental impact.
