DK 2B: Improvement of traditional investigations by prior geophysical investigations
Responsible beneficiary: Central Denmark Region
The traditional investigation concept with series of sampling points build upon each other contains a substantial uncertainty especially in a heterogeneous geological setting, thus a solid risk assessment implies a large number of boreholes. The objective of this pilot is to clarify if expenses and/or time can be reduced by adding geophysical measurements prior to the point approach. The trial is carried out on a former landfill and an agricultural contractor, where pollutions with leachate and pesticides have been proved. The final output should be recommendations and guidelines for a better integrated practice.
