Ttem on the road: Survey in Belgium
15 October 2021 - Published by Jens Uvijn
The tTEM-system has traveled to the Flemish Coastal area. Not for a relaxing beach vacation, but for mapping the upper 50 meters of the subsurface in very high resolution. The collected data will be validated and used for a detailed salinity distribution of the subsurface. The survey was conducted in Veurne, Koksijde, Damme and Knokke-Heist.
The tTEM system is a towed, ground-based, transient electromagnetic system for detailed 3D geophysical and geological mapping of the shallow subsurface. The system has been developed by HydroGeophysics Group Aarhus University within the framework of the TOPSOIL project.
