The 25th anniversary of the Weser dam and Topsoil

The Waterway and Shipping Authority Bremen invited the public to an open day on Sunday, 17 June 2018.
At the 25th anniversary of the Weser Dam event, people had the opportunity to visit the "new" Bremen Weser Dam from inside and to experience the technology in the weir below the water level. There were several information booth, exhibitions, filmscreenings on the construction of the Weserwehr and the extensive tasks of the WSA Bremen.
The Bremen state authorities (SUBV, GDfB) provided information on pollution control at sea and on coastal protection measures. The TOPSOIL project (Pilot GE3) could be presented by the Geological survey of Bremen (GDfB) to gain the public’s interest and to answer questions.
