End conference: Tackling climate change effects on soil and groundwater

31 October 2019 - Published by Jens Uvijn
During the end conference, the TOPSOIL consortium introduced interested stakeholders to it’s exciting results. Participants got the chance to discover new technology, subsurface models, tested measures, monitoring tools and activities on stakeholder involvement and policy making.
Working together on a climate resilient Europe
TOPSOIL joined the Danish National Climate Adaptation Conference, where major climate change actors gathered in Horsens to discuss and set the direction for future cooperation on climate adaptation . The conference offered the opportunity to present the results to a broad and varied audience.
Rolf Johnsen, Stevie Swenne and Claus Kondrup warmed up the 300 participants with their presentations on climate change adaptation.
Following the general introduction, interested parties could join two TOPSOIL sessions. During the first session 5 project partners presented their pilot results. In the afternoon, TOPSOIL elaborated on the lessons learnt during the project. Curious about the presentations? You can watch them here.
After the sessions, participants could admire and discuss the different pilot posters and learn more about the project at the manned TOPSOIL booth at the ‘Market Place’, together with promotion stands of the C5a project (Cluster for Cloud to Coast Climate Change Adaptation) and the C2CCC project (Coast to Coast Climate Challenge).
