Surflogh at POLIS Conference 2020

On Monday 30th November Surflogh partners from the Cities of Groningen and Mechelen will present at the Annual POLIS Conference 2020.

The annual Polis Conference provides an opportunity for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievements to a large audience, and for the wider transport community to engage with representatives of local and regional authorities on innovative transport solutions.

Surflogh session 2C 

Join the programme’s 2C parallel session at 14.30 to hear how public authorities can steer freight and service consolidation. Surflogh followers will recognize Sjouke van der Vlugt and Jeroen Berends from the City of Groningen who present Smart Distribution & Buying Local.

Veerle De Meyer, also well known in our extensive sustainable urban logistics network, will present the City of Mechelen’s experiences with their Smart Locker Network in sustainable on-demand deliveries. Both are the results of pilot projects co-funded by Surflogh.

Green Dealing for Green Healing

Subject of the closing plenary session on 3rd December is "Green Dealing for Green Healing". This includes keynote speeches from Adina Vălean, European Commissioner for Transport, and Robin Chase, a much-awarded transport entrepreneur.Green recovery from the current COVID-19 should not compromise the EU’s Green Deal target - there is plenty to discuss.
