Borrow a cargo bike in Rinteln
On the 20 of July Rinteln launched their bike sharing pilot, the pilot life time spans top the 30 of September and the bike sharing consists of two electric cargobikes. Anyone who want to try the service can book a bike online via a booking platform.
The electric cargobikes offer plenty of storage space which can be used for shopping, picnic, or other fun activities,the bikes are also suitable for transporting children. It is possible to book three days at a time, the available days for the different rental stations can be seen on the booking platform.The only condition for borrowing is to participate in a survey, where the results of the survey will be published during the fall of 2022.
Background of the project
In 2021 the city of Rintelncollaborated with students from the institute of environmental planning from Hannover university to plan further development of Kollegienplatz. The students developed ideas to transform Kollegienplatz into a central traffic are. One of these ideas was to install cargo bikes in Rinteln, which is now implanted as a pilot as part of Stronger Combined.
