More than 30 Flemish and Dutch companies targeting the healthcare economy are looking back on a successful trade mission to Scotland and England. During this trade mission, from 11 to 14 March, the companies had the opportunity to set up new business contacts with local healthcare organisations and companies.

This trade mission was actually a road trip starting on Monday at Inverness (Scotland), then continued to Manchester and Liverpool to finally arrive on Wednesday with a visit to the Digital Health Technology show in London.

During the b-to-b matchmaking event in Inverness, some 75 meetings were set up between local companies and the visiting companies from Flanders and The Netherlands. In addition, NHS Highlands had scheduled appointments with potential customers for the participating companies.

Thanks to the smooth cooperation between NHS Highlands, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the UHI university, the participants learned a lot about the Scottish health system, procurement in the healthsector and the opportunities within the local eco-system for innovation and investment.

In Liverpool, Manchester and London, the companies were able to pith their product / service to an international audience.

This trade mission was jointly organised by the POM West Flanders, NHS Highlands, Innovation Quarter and Oost NL, as part of the SHINE project.
