RISE Processum (www.ri.se/en/processum) is hosting a cluster in a world leading creative hub for development and commercialization of biorefinery processes, green products, chemicals and materials. We are specifically looking to partner with our capacity to scale up biorefinery processes from laboratory to demonstration scale with companies that have solutions for our cluster members. Our long term vision is realised through three main strategies; a) to carry out and support R&I, b) to facilitate upscaling and commercialisation of biorefinery processes and c) to promote the innovation system.
Meet the Buyer event offers interesting opportunities for your company to get in touch with the leading enterprises in a variety of business sectors. The event is invite-only and will give you the chance to have an individual one-to-one meeting with key decision makers. Join the event, establish valuable collaborations, pitch your products and services, and discuss business partnerships that can fast-forward your company’s growth.

What is their business?
RISE Processum is the hub of an innovation platform and a bioeconomy cluster. In our large network we can bring together entrepreneurs with established business, social actors and academia. As a subsidiary of RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) we are involved in a number of research areas, test beds and demonstration environments.
In RISE Processum’s unique research environment innovative companies can test new ideas and products all the way from lab scale to demo scale. RISE Processum is a link between research and commercialisation within circular bioeconomy with special attention given to industrial side streams and residual products. With our skilled expertise and test facilities they can carry out development projects in a neutral and independent manner or produce substances for further development.
Our cluster members consist of companies with different activities, but with a common interest in finding and developing commercially interesting processes and products based on biobased materials. Some examples of member companies are SCA, Valmet, Mondi, Holmen, Aditya Birla Domsjö and Metsä Board.
What are they looking for?
RISE Processum is looking for companies that have solutions that may satisfy needs within the cluster as well as companies that would benefit from collaborations with RISE Processum’s expertise and infrastructure.
In short, they are looking for:
- Technology solutions for utilization of various industrial side streams such as organic residues (sludges, fibers, biomass etc) and inorganic residues (ashes, sludges etc).
- Companies with solutions in connection with processing of biobased feedstocks to support with their test & demo, expertise, process development and networking.

SCALE-UP PARTNERS
This Meet the Buyer event is an exclusive invitation for companies associated with the partner organisations in the North Sea region. Cleantech member organisations have joined forces in the Interreg SCALE-UP project to enable cross-border business contacts between SMEs with green solutions and established large companies. The overall aim is to facilitate for innovative cleantech companies to scale up your start-up. Consultants at the member organisations help participants prepare the meetings and support them through the business process.
