University of Lincoln's thematic competences and experiences relevant for the project are:
School of Geography and Lincoln Centre for Water and Planetary Health (LCWPH): extensive experience on climate change and flood risk management. Expert in rural research, innovation and entrepreneurship + expertise in analysis of the nexus between agriculture and environment, agri-environmental policy, cost benefit analysis of projects or policies, food security. LIAT: wide experience in soil sciences, environmental protection, farming and landscape management research, sustainable agriculture.
Role in SalFar
LCWPH will take the lead of wp 3, in particular the assessment of economic impacts of land degradation. LIAT (Lincoln Institute for agri-food technology) with wide experience in soil sciences, environmental protection, farming and landscape management research will closely co-operate with farmers and local authorities across the NSR to develop sustainable strategies for agriculture and eco-innovative food production. Extensive Interdisciplinary approach, contributing to WP 2, 4, 5, 6.
