As part of WP4 – Bridging the skills gap with pilots, RIGHT project NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster runs the Pilot Training in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems.

Hordaland Higher Professional College is collaborating with NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster to develop training for the seafood industry within closed facilities for fish farming, or Recirculating Aquaculture Systems. Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) operate by filtering and removing water pollutants from the fish tanks so it can be reused.

The demand for new skills in relation to more sustainable manufacturing in the fish industry are increasing in the county of Vestland, and the pilot will meet this demand with short and flexible formal courses about RAS.

We are planning to start the training in January 2021 for up to 90 participants from the seafood industry.

See pilot information on Marinetraining.eu for more information.
