Several ways of selling local food for example local markets, food exhibitions and food events have during Covid-19 been locked down. In Sweden a new digital way to promote and sell local food started in 2016 and has grown steady since then: the REKO-rings. The concept has proven to be of great importance during the pandemic.

Since sales are made digital in advance in closed Facebook-groups and the physical meeting is only an outdoor delivery point, the REKO-rings have worked well during 2020. Of course there have been adjustments and intense communication with regards to strict recommendations for public gatherings. The REFRAME approach and its Swedish pilot has shown this best practise in a short film, describing the benefits for consumers och producers in a small municipality in West Sweden, Götene.
