Circular procurement: No time to waste!

Interreg NSR ProCirc is set up to experiment, implement, and learn about circular procurement. During 4.5 years, the ProCirc partners initiated and supported more than 30 circular procurement pilots. We have developed and promoted several tools and guides for circular procurement, facilitated Communities of Practice, and gained valuable experiences and new insights on how to accelerate circular economy through procurement.

Do you want to learn more about our circular procurement journey, be inspired to take action, and connect with others? Join our online event 'Circular procurement: No time to waste!'

The plenary sessions will be held in English and the breakout sessions will be held in English, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian/Swedish.

Programme:

10.00 - 10.15 Welcome and introduction

10.15 - 10.55 From one circular pilot to circular economy on everybody’s lips - breakout session
ProCirc partners will share their experiences, challenges and success factors for organisational change management towards implementing circular procurement.

10.55 - 11.00 Break

11.00 - 11.40 Setting goals & monitoring: how to measure impact - breakout session
Monitoring and reporting are vital to determine whether circular interventions worked and what impact they have in both practical and policy implementation terms.
ProCirc partners will share examples and challenges around monitoring & reporting experiences. In this break out session we would like to exchange experiences and share how these and other challenges have been overcome.

11.40 - 11.55 How to scale adoption through Joint Statements of Demand
ProCirc has developed three Joint Statements of Demand which present a shared set of circular asks that procurers are committed to including in their future tenders. A JSD approach recognizes that harnessing collective purchasing power can drive innovation and accelerate a shift to a sustainable future. In this session we will explain the approach that we’ve taken and publically launch our JSDs covering the product categories of professional clothing, office furniture and electric vehicle chargers. We will call on other procurers to become signatories to the JSDs to increase our collective impact.

11.55 - 12.00 Closing
