Test-bed in the North Sea
Outside the port of Scheveningen in the Netherlands, a highly advanced test-bed will be realized. The test-bed will be 10 x 10 sea miles, and placed outside all trade routes. Companies, universities, SMEs and start-ups can test and demonstrate their innovations in the open sea area. Via the Dutch grant: ‘MKB Stimuleringsregeling Proeftuin op de Noordzee’ it is possible to apply for 50% of the project's budget (up to € 25.000). The application period for the grant is open until 31st December 2021! This is part of EFRO Project ‘Proeftuin op de Noordzee’, an initiative from the city The Hague, KPN, TU Delft, TNO, Sailing Innovation Centre, Svašek Hydraulics and the Watersportverbond and very much promoted by the maritime cluster. As a next step for modelling, it is now possible to test innovations on a larger scale in a harsh sea environment.
