Green Deal opportunities for SMEs
South Norway European Office held a webinar on 24th April to explain to SMEs the opportunities in the upcoming EIC Accelerator Grant. All applicants submitting for the 19 May ’20 cut-off need to demonstrate how their innovation contributes to the goals of The European Green Deal. Karsten Aust, explains, "This call specifically focuses on innovations that fuel the societal transition towards sustainability while supporting the EU’s competitiveness and leadership in clean technologies. The topic targets high-risk, high potential small- and medium-sized enterprises (including start-ups) from any sector provided that they contribute to one or more of the Green Deal goals."

➢Building and renovating in an energy and resource efficient way;
➢Accelerating the shift to sustainable and smart mobility;
➢Transition to a fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly food system;
➢Preserving and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity;
➢Realizing a zero pollution ambition and a toxic-free environment
There is grant funding available of up to €2.5 million (70% of costs), and an option of equity investment of up to €15 million.
South Norway European Office explained these opportunities to an audience of 24 SMEs, followed by a lively Q&A session.
