A cluster analysis of the shipping industry in the Gothenburg Region
Periscope partner Business Region Gothenburg has recently completed a cluster analysis of the shipping industry in the Gothenburg Region. The mapping contains descriptions as well as facts and statistics about the maritime sector. Industry, the ecosystem and the actors are identified, as well as an analysis of the development of the cluster from 2008 to 2016.
The ecosystem has been split into four elements: national and regional authorities; finance and capital; research, demonstration and technological development; and education and research.
The cluster in Gothenburg has also been compared to other regions in Europe.
This cluster analysis is particularly useful when identifying transnational business opportunities in the blue arena.
