This is a legacy website covering the VB (2014-2020) North Sea Region Programme.

We make a difference by boosting green energy solutions

The transition to green energy is key to keeping global warming in check and securing energy independence in Europe. And time is of the essence. To meet the European 2030 climate targets and prevent energy poverty, the shift needs to happen fast.

The North Sea Region is uniquely placed to accelerate the transition. All seven North Sea Region countries appear in the top 20 of the Global Energy Transition Index 2021, with Denmark, Sweden and Norway topping the list. In addition, the North Sea itself holds a vast potential for expanding wind and ocean energy production.

Building on this regional strength, our projects are driving the transition forward at speed and scale.
