NordTick conference cancelled
On behalf of the organizing committee, we regret to announce that NordTick 2020, which was supposed to take place at in Fevik, Norway, May 5-7 is cancelled to to the current COVID-19 outbreak.
After careful considerations, the Scientific committee for the NordTick conference has decided to cancel NordTick 2020, which was supposed to be held in Fevik, Norway, May 5-7.The reason for this decision is of course the COVID-19 outbreak which has caused new and stringent travel regulations in Europe, as well as the introduction of the most comprehensive and far-reaching social measures in Norway during peacetime. And last but not least it is important for us to ensure the health and safety of our conference attendees. We therefore see no other option than to cancel the event.
As an alternative solution we plan to combine the third NordTick conference with SNÄFF 2021, that will take place at Örenäs castle, Landskrona on 5-7 May 2021 (coincidentally on the same date as the cancelled NordTick conference). We will use the same scientific frame for the NordTick 2021 conference as for NordTick 2020, including invited key-note speakers.
If you already have arranged your travel to Norway, we kindly ask you to check options for cancellation of your booking or reimbursement with your travel insurance.
