Partner Testimonial - Renewable Energy Hamburg
Within the last 8 years, the Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster has established itself as the key regional sector network for the Hamburg City Region. The cluster was founded in January 2011 by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and in association for the development of the Renewable Energy Cluster in Hamburg.
Specialist knowledge from the industry can be optimally collected through networking by the development association with a current membership of more than 190 companies and institutions - and through the operative work by the agency. Internationally, the cluster also networks in other ways, for example by travelling as delegates with Hamburg senator for Economics, Transport and Innovation Frank Horch to South Korea, Japan and China.
Since 2016, the cluster Renewable Energy Hamburg has been working as partner in the EU projects Green Power Electronics and Northern Connections. On a national level, the cluster is part of the consortium of the federal research project “Norddeutsche EnergieWende 4.0 (Northern German Energy Transition 4.0”), which is running until 2020.
The cluster Renewable Energy Hamburg became part of the Northern Connections project in order to strengthen the relations between various cluster organisations and companies in the field of sustainable energy infrastructure in Northern Europe.
