Interreg North Sea Programme 2021-2027

Work is ongoing to design the next North Sea Programme, expected to be officially approved during the summer of 2022. The new programme will underpin core EU policies such as the EU Green Deal and propel the region towards a greener, smarter, and more liveable place.

The work is based on the EU regulations specifying the priorities and framework for the next Interreg programme period 2021-2027.

Who is involved?

Our Programme Preparation Group leads the process and takes decisions on the new programme. The group is composed of representatives of the member countries for the new programme: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

The Joint Secretariat is in charge of drafting the Operational Programme for review by the PPG. The secretariat also commissions studies and runs stakeholder consultations to inform the process.
