Preparations for Smart Senior

On June 15th 2017 Grethe Fallesen from Aalborg Municipality (DK) held a meeting with the Council for Elderly in Aalborg in which she informed the elderly about an upcoming event named Smart Senior. Smart Senior will be held on the 26th of September, and the Council of Elderly will be involved in preparation and evaluation of the event and help recruiting participants.
The number of elderly people are increasing and the help and support from Aalborg Municipality is a limited resource. Many elderly citizens are very familiar with using smart phones, tablets and computers. Elderly citizens are therefore asked to explore how digitalisation can help making life easier for the elderly in Aalborg. They will be invited to the event to solve predefined challenges related to their age group and the digital services of Aalborg Municipality.
The event is part of a transnational pilot within the Like! Project, since a similar event will take place in Rotterdam (NL) too. The two cities will collaborate on planning and results.
