Final Conference Like!: The Digital Society HUB
What is an innovation workplace?
Digital Society Hub is an multidisciplinary innovation workplace of the Institute for Communication, Media & IT of Hanze University of Applied Sciences. An innovation workplace is a physical and virtual place where students, researchers, SME’s and larger businesses cooperate to find solutions for societal challenges. In that way the partners learn to look beyond the boundaries of their own field of expertise.
ICT is the connecting factor
The DSH facilitates an experimental environment. There are already several hubs in and around Groningen, focusing on energy (EnTranCe), biobased economy (ZAP) and healthy aging (Health Hub Roden). These workplaces work on their own economic, social and technological goals. Digital Society Hub is the innovation workplace where ICT, communication and interactive media are used to bring energy, healthy aging and entrepreneurship innovations from other hubs together.
