Let's Gro Groningen

Venue: DOT, Vrydemalaan 2, 9713 WS Groningen, The Netherlands
From 30th of October until 2nd of November 2019, the city of Groningen will be transformed into a city-wide free festival. Let’s Gro is an inspiration festival on the future of the city of Groningen and shows larger and smaller ideas how the prospective city would look like. This year, the Like! project is part of the festival on Thursday 31st of October 2019 to show what role (local) government can take.

The city compass: 10:00-11:00
The city compass is one central digital website where all relevant data and information of the municipality of Groningen is accessible. This compass functions not only as a foundation for better policy recommendations, also citizens, neighbourhood councils, entrepreneurs and students can use the tool to get better informed. Join this session to get a unique glimpse of this project and this tooling.

The Voice of Groningen 11:30-12:30
The citizens of Groningen have various ‘voices’ and the ‘Voice of Groningen’ brings together all these different opinions. This tooling opts to mobilize the collective intelligence, to create democratic renewal and to stimulate active citizenship. This open source platform CONSUL has different functionalities; ideas from citizens can be collected, people can respond to the proposals, citizens can co-create, can vote and participate in participatory budgeting. In this interactive session, the team of the ‘Voice of Groningen’ explains how The Voice of Groningen/CONSUL works and what the benefits are for you. Read more about this project here.

BLockchain IN Government
The Interreg Vb BLockchain IN Government project (BLING) is also part of the Let’s Gro festival. Check the website for this program.
