International Internet of Things Hackathon - Emmen (NL)

Venue: Technologies Added, Emmen, The Netherlands
As one of the partners in the LIKE! project, the province of Drenthe is going to organize an international Internet of Things Hackathon. On 9-10 March, the city of Emmen (Drenthe, NL) is going to be the vibrant center of a 30-hour creation battle. Together with ‘What The Hackathon’ the IoT hackathon is being organized in the Shared Smart Factory of Technologies Added in Emmen.

A Hackathon is an innovation-competition where bright, creative people try to come up with solutions for challenges presented to them at the start of their 30-hour long endeavor.
The competitors are organized in small teams of 5-6 people where every team member will have its own role/task. At the end of the 30-hour inventors-marathon the teams have to pitch their solutions to a jury which will decide who wins Best Overall, Best Design and Best Commercial.

The Hackathon theme “Internet-of-Things/LoraWAN “ is divided into 4 challenge-tracks:
– Mobility
– Health
– Safety
– Sustainability

This hackathon adds value to Drenthe as a fieldlab for digital development. With this we are boosting the creation of smart solutions for societal challenges.
