LEMEX is part of the University of Bremen is a university in the German city of Bremen. The institution was established in 1971. The public university has over 18,000 students and twelve faculties.Which are the organisation’s thematic competences and experiences relevant for the project?
Entrepreneurship education: LEMEX coaches a two-digit number of interdisciplinary student start-up projects p.a. & is a start-up driving force at the University of Bremen.
Network: LEMEX actively engages in the start-up community ‘Bremen Startups’ (http://www.bremen-startups.de/) to connect university & research to practice. The LEMEX network consists of over 200 students, alumni, regional businesses & politicians.
Research topics: Start-up Ecosystems & Migrant/Diaspora entrepreneurship
What is the benefit for the organisation from participating in the project?
- Supporting the university community to develop, validate & establish their business models faster
- using the Freifeld event to connect the university with the wider entrepreneurial community of innovators, support agencies & mentors to link, promote & support entrepreneurial & innovative+ activities across the region
- learning from project partners about mechanics, tools & channels in their start-up (support) ecosystems
