At end of May, the County Council of Värmland and Värmland County Administrative Board will host a workshop in Sweden. The purpose is to provide tools, a methodology and a model for developing the field of informal care.

The project In For Care, co-financed by the European Union, aims to develop innovation in service delivery by optimizing informal and formal networks.

The County Council of Värmland (a health care provider) will explain and give examples of a methodology which can be used in different areas to receive a certain objective.

– During the workshop participants will both observe, experience and experiment together and also get a scientific perspective to it, says project leader Tomas Philipp, at the County Council of Värmland.

Värmland County Administrative Board has experience in developing innovations using a Quadruple Helix model, a model where government, industry, academia and civil participants work together, which will be shortly explained at the meeting in Karlstad.

– We hope that all participants will receive useful tools and given examples that can be helpful for reaching their goals in the project, no matter what their objectives are, in order to assist an elderly population, says Katarina Nordmark, Project Manager at Vämland County Administrative Board.

The In For Care project started in 2017 and will carry on for three years. The project has ten partners and is co-financed by the Interreg North Sea Region Programme. The workshop is taking place in Karlstad, Sweden on May 29-31. There are several other workshops planned.
