Development of e-learning tool for volunteers

To support health promotion the In for Care project is developing an e-learning tool that helps volunteers support citizens with lifestyle interventions.

In Denmark, In For Care is developing a health promotion e-learning tool to support volunteering. Recent studies show that targeting citizens with traditional lifestyle interventions focusing solely on exercise have small effect. Studies suggest that collaborative approaches as a starting point for health behaviour change is more beneficial, but implementation into practice is a challenge.

The e-learning tool will involve citizens in the agenda setting and reflection about changing health behaviour. This is supported by dialogue tools (e.g. quotes and games), developed in collaboration with citizens and the Region of South Denmark.

The Danish team is looking forward to presenting a part of the e-learning tool at the In For Care partner meeting in Dundee in March.
