Registration now open for the 3rd IMMERSE Transnational Estuary Exchange Lab on 10. June 2021
IMMERSE is organising the third Transnational Estuary Exchange Lab (TEEL) on Thursday 10 June 2021 online. The theme of this TEEL is local flood protection strategies, in particular the regional approaches to coordinating the development of local flood protection strategies and technical modelling approaches to develop and test flood protection solutions.
- 09:30 - 10:30 Setting the Scene: IMMERSE, its aims and regional challenges
- 11:00 - 13:00 Breakout Session I: Regional approaches to coordinated local flood protection strategies
- 14:00 - 16:00 Breakout Session II: Technical Modelling approaches used in solution development and testing
NOTE: All participants are encouraged to attend the introductory session, which will ‘set the scene’ for the breakout sessions, as well as demonstrate the audience interaction tools. Participants should also register for one or both of the breakout sessions.
The Estuary Exchange Lab features guest speakers from the Danish Coastal Authority and the German Ministry of Energy, Agriculture, the Environment, Nature and Digitalization among others. Through interactive online discussions, the Estuary Exchange Lab will offer a platform for transnational exchange: IMMERSE partners, North Sea Region estuary managers and relevant stakeholders will explore solutions and shared experiences through two dedicated sessions.
Anyone with an interest in North Sea Region estuary management is encouraged to attend, and you can register here. This will be the third in a series of region-wide events organized by the IMMERSE project. Information and outcomes from the previous TEEL is available here.
The IMMERSE project partners invite you or your relevant colleagues to participate and help expand the North Sea Region’s knowledge on sustainable estuary management. We hope you and/or colleagues can attend and share your valuable knowledge and experience.
For questions regarding the event, please contact Frederick Bruce, and feel free to share with others.
