HyTrEc2 warmly welcomed The North Sea Commission working groups on Transport and Marine Resources to Aberdeen.
{Happy to learn about Hydrogen for Transport and Marine possibilities}
The North Sea Commission were warmly welcomed to Aberdeen on the 18th and 19th of February 2020. Aberdeen hosted a joint meeting of the Transport and Marine Resources Working Groups. HyTrEc2 prominently featured in the meeting, with a tour of ACHES station taking centre stage on the afternoon of the 18th. The working groups of the Commission were treated to a presentation from HyTrEc2 lead partner, Louise Napier, followed by a tour of the green eletrolysiser conducted by operational experts Norco. The blustery day did not dampen the enthusiasm of the 45 guests, who were eager to learn more about the environmental benefits and the drivability of Hydrogen vehicles. The session at ACHES was completed by a demonstration of refuelling a Hydrogen vehicle, the ease and speed of refuelling surprised many of The Commission.
Following an exciting tour of the station the guests dined with the Lord Provost of Aberdeen. HyTrEc2 teams from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire were amongst the notable guests and conversation around many a table focused on the exciting potential Hydrogen poses.
