H2 Talks at the RISE Research Institutes of Sweden

RISE Research Institutes of Sweden is taking strides to focus research on emerging concepts in the world of hydrogen.

On 10-11 November 2022, the internal RISE Research Institutes of Sweden event, H2 Talks, was arranged in Borås, Sweden, which convened around forty of RISE's researchers in hydrogen-related areas from materials to electricity supply, fuel cells and system analyses.

The complexity of the field of hydrogen is only increasing. There is a need to understand which projects generate which research and identify the up and coming research areas.

At the two-day exchange event, the activities and results from the Interreg North Sea Region HyTrEc2 project were presented at the event by two researchers. Ellen Scott from RISE's Energy Conversion unit talked about how the lessons learned from the innovative H2 fork lift simulation developed within HyTrEc2 provided important experiences and led to the development of simulation as a tool and inspired new projects.

Furthermore, Andreas Bach from the Maritime Transport & Logistics unit presented the ongoing port study within HyTrEc2, which will provide results that are useful to meet the growing interest in the research area of hydrogen in the maritime sector.

The event was highly rewarding and there have already been proposals made to repeat the concept in 2023.
