FRAMES was introduced by Dr. Helge Bormann (Jade University), who explained the underlying concepts such as the Multi-Layer-Safety concept and related pilot activities of the Wesermarsch pilot (Germany). Further research activities on flood risk management were presented by Jena University (Germany), the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw) and the University of Torun (Poland).

Transferability of concepts

For the future, joint research activities are envisaged to share experience and to further develop the underlying concepts applied in FRAMES.
