About the partner
The NHL Stenden Hogeschool is experienced in researching regional economics, entrepreneurship and ecosystems. It has experience in Design thinking activities with SMEs (Fryslân Design Academy, Design Studio, SiGa and YnBusiness). The NHL Stenden Hogeschool cooperates with local business and local authorities. FBD will be executed by students in minors such as 'Change process', 'Sustainability' and 'Governance', combining research and young professionals in projects locally embedded.
Role in FBD
Local SMEs are facing rapid (technological) change that disrupts existing business models. NHL Stenden Hogeschool engages local SMEs and faciliates workshops and internships for students to start developing change in business models and business practice, using data to ensure business growth. NHL Stenden Hogeschool disseminates the results among students, young professionals, businesses and researchers, i.e. generating an evidence base for public investments in local innovative initiatives to prepare SMEs for a changing future.
