LSGB - The agency of roads, bridges and waters, Ministry of Economy, Traffic and Innovation of the city of Hamburg
The agency of roads, bridges and waters (LSBG) is an organisation of the Ministry of Economy, Traffic and Innovation (BWVI) of the city of Hamburg. Our expertise is the implementation and maintenance of structural work in the technical infrastructure. The LSBG is under regulation and control of the senate and the city parliament.Our service comprises: Roads, flood protection on coastlines and rivers, hydraulic engineering (except public waterways), construction (e.g. bridges, tunnels, walls, locks, flood barriers and pumping stations), light-signal systems and traffic-telematic systems, public lighting and development measures with importance for Hamburg.
We take responsibility for: planning, designing, building (project management), maintenance and operation.
Our main interest in the FAIR-project is a process-oriented approach on maintenance and repairs related procedures including:
- Optimizing the efficiency of maintenance investments.
- Combining investment planning methods with geo-referenced documentation systems.
- Asset planning and low risk investment for live-cycle-cost (LCC) solutions.
- Maintenance and repairs programmes with the focus on flood-gates.
