Paul Sayers, leader of the science team of FAIR, visited China last week to discuss approaches to city scale climate adaptation.
- This included detailed discussions on approaches to adapting to changing coastal risks, in response to sea level rise and increased intensity of typhoons, in Qingdao through to discussions of national climate adaptation indicators for cities across China, says Paul Sayers.
The collaboration, funded by Swiss Aid under the Adapting to Climate Change in China programme, has many synergies with FAIR and includes many leading institutes and cities in China as well as international contributions from the UK and Malaysia.
