Background
Communication is essential to the success of the programme and its projects. The programme logic builds on the fact that the results of every project should offer new perspectives for the wider programme area – and that it is therefore essential that relevant stakeholders and organisations are made aware of what has been achieved.
Communication in pursuit of these objectives can take many different forms from websites and newsletters, through conferences and meetings to mentoring and scientific publication. All projects are expected to consider a wide range of communication options and develop a package of measures that can get core messages out to the most important stakeholders.
There are some important legal requirements for the form of this communication. They should not, however, over-shadow the fact that it is the effectiveness of communication that is most important and forms a key part of the project assessment and monitoring processes.
