New collective solar roof in Haarlem

At the Mendel College in Haarlem, a total of eight hundred solar panels were installed on seven different roofs at the gymnasium and other buildings of the school. This is the 4th collective solar roof of Kennemer Kracht in Haarlem.
For the installation, however, the original residents had to be relocated. Oystercatchers have been nesting here for years. These birds are protected. In consultation with the workgroup oystercatchers Netherlands, a suitable solution was sought for the panels and the birds. As a result, gravel was moved to another roof so that the birds can nest there. It seems to have gone well, as they have already been seen in their new spot.
