Tuesday 6 July OWIC had, together with the Decom Tools project partners and New Energy Coalition, organized the event 'Recycling of wind blades' in Eemshaven. The event took place under Corona restrictions and was therefore designed as a hybrid event.

The digital part included a webinar, a dragons' den and a digital matchmaking session. It brought together companies, research and umbrella organizations active in the field of offshore wind energy, with a key focus on developments relating to the dismantling of offshore wind turbines and rotor blades. It provided a unique opportunity to share and create new business opportunities and establish new collaborations with international partners in the energy transition process.

OWIC is an information, training and innovation center for companies and institutions involved in generating offshore wind energy. A total of 19 parties - businesses, knowledge institutions and government bodies - have joined forces in OWIC to ensure that companies can innovate and develop in offshore wind energy more easily and quickly. OWIC focus on green energy, the offshore wind industry and the development of the necessary infrastructure.
