Logistics Day at the University of Applied Sciences in Leer

For the second time, the Faculty of Maritime Sciences of the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer invites to its Europe-wide logistics day

During the event on April 11, companies and organizations from the industry, trade and service sector will provide an insight into their work, while institutes and educational institutions will present their research.

On this day the university will report on digital solutions for the maintenance and dismantling of offshore wind turbines under the motto "Offshore 4.0".

Early on, the University of Applied Sciences Emden/ Leer was involved in the development of solutions for the technical and logistical requirements at sea. The Logistics Day will give visitors an overview of previous approaches in this field.

The event is part of the project "Mittelstand 4.0 - Kompetenzzentrum Lingen" funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and the “DecomTools” project funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Interreg North Sea Region.

The program includes a simulation game on the subject of "offshore wind farms" and a digital check for companies. The event targets school children and students, experts in the field as well as the interested public.
