Shezad Dawood works across various disciplines, including: painting, film, neon, sculpture, performance, and digital media.

His practice often involves collaboration and knowledge exchange, mapping across multiple audiences and communities to ask key questions of narrative, history and embodiment. More recently he has been using VR to interrogate some of the most urgent issues of our time, such as migration, climate change and ideas around the post-human.

As part of Folkestone Triennial, Shezad Dawood presents The Terrarium, the second element of his Virtual Reality trilogy entitled Leviathan Legacy a major five-year multifaceted project that looks at the intersection between climate change, migration and mental health.
