Digital heritage workshops kicks off in September
03 September 2020 - Published by Anna Grude
CUPIDO’s second round of on-line digital heritage workshops kicks off in September. There was a great response to the earlier series with hundreds participating in the workshops and thousands viewing the live streams, and as such CUPIDO is to support a further series.
The workshops have been developed and will be facilitated by Dr Alan Miller and Catherine Anne Cassidy from St Andrews University. The series of workshops will focus on the use of digital technologies in the promotion and preservation of communities’ heritage.
Each workshop will explore a particular area of digital heritage - looking at the technical background and how the technology has been used. Each will address the three Cs of creation, communication and community. There will be a show and tell, guide to developing digital content, together with guides for communicating and connecting with community. The workshops will also be a sharing experience drawing on the skills and knowledge of participants.
