Spring has sprung! Find out about COBEN’s activities during the second pandemic spring: The COBEN team is energised and full of new inspiration to bring the benefits of civic energy to communities of the North Sea Region!Despite the lasting pandemic, the project partners can account for some noteworthyaccomplishments in the past couple of months, including the development of a ‘bike tour’ to enjoy the wind landscape in the Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen in Belgium, while in Denmark, Ringkøbing-SkjernKommune officially inaugurated two shared mobility schemes in Alkærparken and Videbæk.On top of that, the Swedish partners of Uppsala kommun held two webinars and a workshop during the Uppsala Climate Week, covering topics such as power constraints in the grid, solutions for a more flexible use and demand of energy, as well as general information about the concept and benefits of energy communities.

On Thursday, May 20th, the COBEN consortium met again –virtually – to discuss policy recommendations in light of the EU Clean Energy Package and the revised Renewable Energy Directive (RED II).
Next up: the last COBEN project meeting before the summer break will take place June 24th 2021. The project team will discuss the results of the re-launched business model survey.
