OOWV and Jade start learning communities in Germany

After thorough preparation OOWV and Jade Hochschule have started with the execution of meetings for learning communities in Germany with a range of events.

On the 23rd of June OOWV hosted the expert workshop on rainwater management in the city of Oldenburg. 21 Experts met in Oldenburg to talk about possibilities for harvesting rainwater and to improve the cooperation with each other. The Jade Hochschule and the OOWV invited representatives of the city, the local drinking water supplier and a housing company and a representative from a surface water association.

On the 24th of June the OOWV and Jade Hochschule organised the first regional workshop regarding the spreading of the heavy rain hazard map to the whole OOWV supply area. The meeting took place in Dinklage, in the southern part of the supply area.

On the 29th of June, the second regional workshop regarding the spreading of the heavy rain hazard map to the whole OOWV supply area took place in Jever, in the north of the supply area. Around 40 participants came to together to discuss the challenges of heavy rain events in the municipalities and how these can be addressed together in the future. A press release was made and resulted in three articles so far.
