Conservation Tillage is gaining more attention as a farm management practice. What is "Conservation Tillage" exactly? What is needed for this? How do you start? ZLTO is organizing three regional meetings spread over the province of Zeeland in The Netherlands, where these questions will be discussed.
The goal of Conservation Tillage is to improve the soil structure formed by plants and soil life. Conservation Tillage is a mean to disturb the natural processes as little as possible.
Sander Bernaerts from Naturim is responsible for these meetings. In addition, participants will share experiences and we will visit a plot of an arable farmer who has experience with Conservation Tillage. The meetings will take place in Dutch and hence the links provided for these meetings are in Dutch. The meeting will take place on the following days:
- Dinsdag 12 maart van 13.00 tot 16.00 uur. Locatie: start op ZLTO kantoor (Noordlangeweg 42b, Colijnsplaat) en bezoek akkerbouwbedrijf Dieleman in Kamperland
