ECOinnovations from biomass: New line of Business Systemic Soil Improvement

Event duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Venue: Hotel "Alte Werft", Ölmühlenweg 1, 26871 Papenburg, Germany
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has recently reiterated the drastic consequences of global warming and, in this context, the importance of stepping up global activities to reduce greenhouse gases and reverse global economic trends. The need for action to achieve global and national climate protection targets by 2050 and to further develop strategies to reduce resource consumption, strengthen biodiversity and reduce environmental pollution at European and national level is all the greater. This implementation affects all economic sectors. Sustainable and environmentally friendly products and processes based on biomass and residual materials play a central role and offer opportunities for companies and society. Against this background, the international networking event aims to promote the exchange of knowledge on bioeconomics in the non-food sector and discuss innovative solutions. Current findings from research and practice as well as successful examples for an efficient material and energetic use of biomass and residual materials in the sense of a circular economy will be presented. Companies present new product developments. Therefore, 3N is organizing an event series "ECOinnovations from biomass" from the 20th to 21st of March, 2019. This event on Carbon Farming is on 21st of March, about a session on "New line of Business Systemic Soil Improvement" which will be chaired by Dr. Hans Paulsen Marten from Thuenen Research Institute, Germany.
